He had his 12-month doctor visit on Friday, January 4. He is 31 inches long and weighs 24 pounds and 6 ounces. He has only gained 5 ounces since October, but he also started walking in September so I think he has a good excuse. We will add some cow's milk into his diet and just make sure he doesn't start losing weight.
We canceled his "party" that we were going to have on Saturday because he seemed pretty under the weather, but he picked up on Friday evening so we decided to do it. Grandma Brenneman, Uncle Luke, and Uncle Steven drove down from Mansfield.
We had one of his "favorites" for lunch--grilled cheese and tomato soup. And then he opened his presents and then he got to play with his cake.
And then we were off to the zoo for a quick visit. The coolest thing we saw was the brown bears. They were sleeping in their den right next to the glass. They are huge!
On Monday, January 7, we had a Bubble Party in his childcare classroom so he could celebrate with his friends there.
Can't believe my little boy is 1 year old! He has grown so much in just 12 months. It makes my heart skip a beat to see all the things he learns and does each day.
I love you, Evan. Happy Birthday!
